As the first and only ISO Class 1 and Internationally accredited fire department in New England, Hartford Fire Department Chief Reggie Freeman, the Command staff and all of our firefighters are committed to upholding the high standards that those who came before us have established. Sometimes, we are acknowledged for our actions/efforts and we are humbled to say, this is one instance of that occurring. We are grateful to ICMA & CPSE for featuring the Hartford Fire Department as one departments that has established industry best practice as it pertains to fire service inclusiveness.
