Department Head

Kristina Baldwin

Kristina Baldwin serves as the Director of the Department of Families, Children, and Youth. In this role, she works daily to accelerate and elevate collective efforts to improve the lives of Hartford's children, youth, and families. Before her appointment as Director, she served the city as Grants Manager, Project Leader, and Assistant Director for Youth Services. Throughout her tenure, she has championed key community initiatives, including the Hartford Youth Service Corps, the Summer Youth Employment and Learning Program, the Juvenile Review Board, and the Truancy Reduction Taskforce.
 
With over 25 years of experience in youth development and holding a degree in Child and Developmental Psychology from the University of Connecticut, Director Baldwin has dedicated her career to supporting children and youth with outstanding commitment and passion.
