Olusegun 'Shay' Ajayi

As the Chief Operating Officer for the City of Hartford, Olusegun “Shay” Ajayi is dedicated to driving municipal efficiency and operations. His work is comprehensive, leading strategic efforts that boost the performance of city departments and leveraging data to inform critical decisions.

The Office of Equity and Opportunity is responsible for fostering equality and understanding by supporting the efforts of the city's policy, leadership in seeking social and economic justice for all Hartford residents.

 

The Office of Performance Management is tasked with using data to inform decision-making and policy changes within City operations. The office coordinates with senior leadership to define and maintain the overall vision, mission, and values for the organization, as well as key performance indicators (KPIs) to effectively measure and evaluate the results of strategic and operational goal attainment. The office is charged with leading efforts to use technology to automate data reporting and to reduce data extraction burden on departments.

Taneisha is a producer and artist working at the crossroads of creative leadership and community impact. She is propelled by the belief that the culture we advance is the society we become. Currently she works inside of municipal government as the Director of Arts, Culture and Entertainment for the City of Hartford, CT, where she’s testing the capacity for us to live our wildest dreams. Prior to coming to the City of Hartford she was Associate Producer at Octopus Theatricals, Artistic Producer at TheaterWorks, and Marketing/Celebrity Relations at American Girl. She trained as an actor at SUNY - Purchase College in The School of Theater Arts and Film, and served as an adjunct lecturer and director at The Juilliard School, The Hartt School and Brooklyn College. She is a graduate of the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts and 2016 National Arts Strategies Creative Community Fellow.
