Hartford Housing Success

Hartford celebrates the success of its Housing Task Force in addressing negligent landlords.
Mayor Arulampalam reported a 93% success rate with the initial problem owners, leading to property sales or compliance. Enforcement is up (31% increase in violation notices, 20% drop in 311 calls). The city expanded its list, exposing new owners to hold them accountable and improve housing quality.
