Due to electrical work being done, all power to City Hall and the Main Street library branch will be shut off from Monday, May 18 through Tuesday, May 19. During this period, both buildings will be closed to staff and the public. Power is expected to be fully restored to the affected buildings, by Wednesday, May 20th – and we will reopen then.

The project entails the removal of the existing traffic signal and construction of a modern roundabout at the intersection of New Britain Avenue at White Street and Chandler Street. A concept plan showing the roundabout configuration is shown on the following page.
The City of Hartford has applied for $2.8 Million in State funding from the Local Transportation Capital Improvement Program (LOTCIP).
Design is underway and planned to be completed in Spring 2023. Construction is planned to begin in Summer 2023 and completed in Summer 2024.
