Is there someone or an event that noteworthy to receive a proclamation from the Mayor? Here are things to consider:

Mayor Arulampalam issues proclamations for noteworthy events that involve the City of Hartford.
These public service documents are a courtesy to the requestor, are strictly honorary and are not legally binding.
All requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
The Mayor reserves the right to decline any request or to make exception to those guidelines.

Is the event at least 30 days away? Your request must be submitted at least three weeks prior to the official proclamation announcement.
