Request a Proclamation

Is there someone or an event that noteworthy to receive a proclamation from the Mayor?  Here are things to consider:


Prior to submitting, please note:

  • Mayor Bronin issues proclamations for noteworthy events that involve the City of Hartford.
  • These public service documents are a courtesy to the requestor, are strictly honorary and are not legally binding.
  • All requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
  • The Mayor reserves the right to decline any request or to make exception to those guidelines. 

Step 1.Event Logistics

  • Is the event at least 30 days away? Your request must be submitted at least three weeks prior to the official proclamation announcement.
  • Is the event located in or related to the City of Hartford
  • Have you identified the role you would like Mayor Bronin to play?
