6 PM Wednesday: Mayor Bronin Activates 36-Hour Snow Parking Ban

Mayor Luke Bronin is activating a thirty-six-hour snow parking ban for the City of Hartford, beginning at 6 PM on Wednesday, December 16th and ending at 6 AM on Friday, December 18th. The City’s warming center at the former Milner School at 104 Vine Street will be open during its regular hours, from 5 PM to 9 AM.

Hartford Unveils Photo Installation Honoring Frontline Workers

Today the City of Hartford unveiled a thirty-five photo public art installation at 1355 Main Street, at the intersection of Main Street and Albany Avenue, honoring frontline workers. Local photographer Joe Gaylor has spent months collecting portraits of EMTs, grocery store employees, transit workers, public works employees, first responders, and more.

$800,000 In Small Business Grants, New Application Window Next Year

Today the City of Hartford, the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, Capital for Change, and HEDCO, Inc., announced that the City and the Hartford Foundation are funding $800,000 in new grants to Hartford small businesses. Earlier this year, those partners along with Bank of America and Travelers launched a $1.25 million Small Business Emergency Assistance Grant Program.

2021 City Council Meeting Schedule

February 08, 2021

Pursuant to Chapter IV, Section 5 of the City Charter, the Council shall meet regularly in the second and forth Monday evenings of each month at 7PM , except that its rules may provide for only (1) regular meeting in each of the months of July and August. Said regular meeting to be held on the second Monday evening of each of those two months at 7PM.

2021 Public Hearing Schedule

February 16, 2021

Pursuant to Council Rule XVII at 7 p.m. on the third Monday of each month, or such other times as the Council may from time to time designate, where required, hearings will be held by Council members on all matters requiring public comment. If the third Monday falls on a holiday, then said hearings shall be held on the next business day.

Hartford to Host Tax Deed Sale Saturday, October 24th

On Saturday, October 24th, the City of Hartford will host a tax deed sale for properties across the city.

The public auction will take place on Saturday, October 24th, 2020 at 10 AM at the Dunkin’ Donuts Park, 1214 Main Street, Hartford CT. Registration opens at 9:30 AM.
