What are the Community Hope Gardens?

The Community Hope Gardens is a community engagement initiative to commemorate Hartford residents who have passed away due to COVID-19. These gardens will be composed of yellow daffodils that will be planted at gateway locations around the entire city.

When will the plantings happen?

Working with neighborhood associations, the Youth Service Corps and other volunteers, the planting was completed in November 2020.

How can I commemorate someone in my family?

In memory of those who have passed from COVID-19, family members are invited to paint a wooden heart and place it at one of the Community Hope Gardens of their choosing.
