Elevates quality of life issues for members of marginalized communities (i.e. people of color, LGBTQ+, refugee and immigrant, unhoused, etc.) to the police chief and other city officials.
Fosters positive relationships between marginalized community members and the HPD by providing a safe space liaison for anyone who requires the services of the HPD.
Assists in productive dialogue with other city agencies, other law enforcement entities, and community-based organizations by conducting community outreach, education, and involvement in other issues related to equity and inclusion.
