Hartford To Add Five Coronavirus Testing Sites, Bringing Total To 8

HARTFORD, CONN (May 14, 2020) – Today the City of Hartford announced that in the coming days there will be eight coronavirus testing sites open across Hartford.  In addition to the sites at Hartford Hospital, St. Francis Hospital, the two testing sites announced earlier today by CVS Health, and Charter Oak Health Center, residents will soon be able to get tested at three additional Federally Qualified Health Centers: InterCommunity at 16 Coventry Street, Wheeler Family Health & Wellness Center at 43-49 Woodland Street, and Community Health Services at 500 Albany Avenue, Hartford.  Specific start dates and information about how to get tested at each of the eight sites is available here.  These eight sites are complemented by Hartford HealthCare’s mobile testing site, which will continue to visit different neighborhoods in the City.

“With eight testing locations throughout our community, we’ve seen a dramatic expansion of access to testing,” said Mayor Luke Bronin. “We’re continuing to expand access, but right now the most important thing is to make sure everyone knows that you don’t need symptoms, you don’t need a prescription, you don’t need insurance, and you don’t need a car.  Getting tested isn’t just about you, it’s about your loved ones and everyone else, and it’s going to be even more important as we move toward the long, slow process of reopening and recovery.”
