The City of Hartford announced it will be opening cooling centers for residents starting on Tuesday, July 15th at 12:00 PM, through Friday, July 18th at 8:00PM, in response to the forecasted heat wave. The Hartford Fire Department will also be distributing water to residents throughout the city.
The first semi-annual installment of taxes on the Grand List of October 1, 2024, are due and payable on July 1, 2025. Failure to pay any tax due July 1, 2025, on or before August 1, 2025, will cause the tax to become delinquent and subject to interest, from the due date of July 1, 2025, at the rate of 1.5% per full or partial month. HARTFORD, CONN (May 21, 2020) – Mayor Luke Bronin released the statement below after CVS Health announced their third drive through testing site in Hartford at 690 Wethersfield Avenue, which will open tomorrow, May 22nd, 2020. Last Thursday, CVS Health announced two testing sites that currently open at 150 Washington Street and 479 Blue Hills Avenue. There are now nine permanent coronavirus testing sites in Hartford, in addition to mobile testing conducted by Hartford HealthCare and Trinity Health Of New England.
“With another CVS testing site opening on Wethersfield Avenue, we now have nine permanent testing sites in Hartford – plus pop-up mobile testing, including tomorrow at Batchelder School,” said Mayor Luke Bronin. “You don't need symptoms, you don't need a prescription, you don't need insurance, and if you need a ride, we'll give you a ride. We're grateful to CVS for opening another location here in Hartford, and we want as many residents as possible to get tested."
The City of Hartford is providing free transportation to and from confirmed coronavirus testing appointments through Hartford 311. Residents can call 860-757-9311 Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM to schedule a ride.
