Due to the forecasted winter storm, the City of Hartford offices are CLOSED on Monday, January 26, 2026. Essential staff will report for their regular shifts as scheduled. Trash and Recycling pick-up will proceed on a delayed schedule this week.
Mayor Arulampalam will lift the parking ban today at 1PM -- Residents are encouraged to get their vehicles off city and blue light lots prior to 6PM to avoid enforcement. At 6PM, enforcement will begin!
The City of Hartford shared cold weather protocol information in effect starting noon Friday and continuing into next Wednesday at noon, encouraging residents to seek warmth and shelter. Warming centers will be open starting on Friday, January 23 until noon on Wednesday, January 28. The City is also supporting overnight warming centers, which residents can utilize throughout the week.
The Sustainable Housing Solutions Program provides assistance to homeowners to make improvements to their 1-6 unit properties located in the City of Hartford’s federally designated Promise Zone.
Sustainable Solutions is designed to help low- to moderate-income households take advantage of home improvement loans with low-interest rates (ranging from 0% to 4% depending upon each applicant’s household income level).
