Due to the forecasted winter storm, the City of Hartford offices are CLOSED on Monday, January 26, 2026. Essential staff will report for their regular shifts as scheduled. Trash and Recycling pick-up will proceed on a delayed schedule this week.
The City of Hartford shared cold weather protocol information in effect starting noon Friday and continuing into next Wednesday at noon, encouraging residents to seek warmth and shelter. Warming centers will be open starting on Friday, January 23 until noon on Wednesday, January 28. The City is also supporting overnight warming centers, which residents can utilize throughout the week.
The snow parking ban for the City of Hartford will start Saturday, January 24th at 8pm continuing into Monday, January 26. The end time for the parking ban will be determined after road conditions are assessed following the winter storm. Blue Light Lots will be open starting at 12pm on Saturday morning.
