The City of Hartford shared cold weather protocol information in effect starting noon Friday and continuing into next week encouraging residents to seek warmth and shelter. Warming centers will be open starting on Friday, January 23 and has been extended until February 5th. The City is also supporting overnight warming centers, which residents can utilize throughout the week.
The Town of West Hartford, in partnership with the City of Hartford, has initiated the Kane and Kennedy Brook Watershed Area Storm Drainage Analysis to address chronic flooding issues and improve stormwater management in a large, interconnected drainage area. On Thursday, June 24th, the City of Hartford will host a tax sale for properties across the city. The public auction will take place on Thursday, June 23rd, 2022 at 9 AM at Dunkin’ Donuts Park, 1214 Main Street, Hartford CT. Registration opens at 9:00 AM. The full list of properties as well as the starting bids is available at www.cttaxsales.com. Bidders must present a deposit of $5,000 per property in certified funds payable to “Pullman & Comley, Trustee” and the winning bidder must pay the balance of the sale price within 5 days or forfeit that deposit. Bidders must be current with all property taxes owed to the City as bids will not be accepted from tax-delinquent bidders. More details are available at www.cttaxsales.com.
