Architecture Division

Principal goals:

 
The division also serves as the primary review and processing for all planning, design and construction related Awards, Contracts, Purchase Orders, Change Orders and payments. These services are divided into Parks, Energy, Building and School CIP projects throughout the city. Through these projects the division serves Hartford residents and improves the quality of life for all.
  1.  Parks works on master plans, entrances, parking, walkways, trails, playgrounds, spray pools, parks buildings, monuments, golf courses, park security, Americans with Disability Act compliance and cemeteries.
  2. Energy works on sustainability and energy improvement projects for city buildings, schools, street lights and other outdoor lights. This includes alternative power such as solar and fuel cells.
  3. Building works on Community Development Grant funded projects, Americans with Disability Act compliance, site improvements, interior layout changes, building and fire code requirements, roofs, exterior doors, windows and façade improvements, additions and environmental abatement at fire houses, training facilities, police stations, recreation, early learning and senior centers, pools, office spaces and libraries.
  4. School works on complete school renovation projects in conjunction with the Hartford School Building Committee and smaller school renovations such Americans with Disability Act compliance, parking lots, roofs, bathrooms, lockers and elevators as overseers of the School Program Manager.
