The Town of West Hartford, in partnership with the City of Hartford, has initiated the Kane and Kennedy Brook Watershed Area Storm Drainage Analysis to address chronic flooding issues and improve stormwater management in a large, interconnected drainage area. Killed in the line of duty November 27, 1919 Hartford, Connecticut
Officer Knevet became a regular police officer on October 23, 1911. He became the first officer of the Hartford Police Department to be killed in the line of duty when he was struck by an automobile on November 27, 1919. In 1994 Officer Knevet was recognized by the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington, D.C., for having the longest record of continuous service with a single law enforcement agency of any officer killed in the line of duty in the United States.
