City Of Hartford To Hold Citywide Tele-Townhall On Saturday

HARTFORD, CONN (April 30, 2020) – Today Mayor Luke Bronin announced that on Saturday, May 2nd, 2020 at 1 PM, the City of Hartford will host another tele-town hall with residents to update them on the City’s response to coronavirus, reiterate what they can do to keep the community healthy, and to answer questions. Officials will give an update for half an hour in English and then spend an hour taking questions from residents in English and Spanish. The town hall will also be streamed on Mayor Bronin’s Facebook page.
The City will be hosting a separate Spanish language virtual town hall on Monday, May 4th, 2020 at 3 PM in partnership with CT en Vivo, which will stream the town hall on their Facebook page. The town hall will include a panel discussion with City officials, Hartford Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Leslie Torres-Rodriguez, and representatives from the Community Renewal Team, the Hispanic Health Council, and the Hartford Chamber of Commerce.
“Our last tele-town hall reached about 26,000 people online and on the phone, and we are looking forward to sharing more information with our residents and answering their questions,” said Mayor Bronin. “We still need to work together as a community to slow the spread of this virus.”
How to Access Saturday, May 2nd, 1 PM Tele-Town Hall
Many residents will receive a phone call just before 1 PM inviting them to stay on the line and participate in the town hall. Residents will be able to call in at 877-229-8493 PIN: 119201 at 1 PM on Saturday, May 2nd, 2020. Residents will also be able to type questions into an online portal at access.live/Hartford, which will have closed captioning in English for the hearing impaired.

Residents will be able to stream the town hall through CT en Vivo’s Facebook page and it will be shared on Mayor Bronin’s Facebook page as well.
