HARTFORD, CONN (April 11, 2023) – Today, the City of Hartford announced that it will begin extensive work to resurface, repave, and restripe a stretch of Main Street in Downtown Hartford. The work will begin on April 15th, taking place on Main Street from Gold Street to Wyllys Street and will result in temporary construction disruptions.
Weather permitting, the construction is anticipated to take 30 days. From April 15 to April 23, construction will begin, and during this period, work will be conducted between 7 AM and 3 PM. From April 24 to May 2, milling and paving will take place between 7 PM and 5 AM. From May 3 to May 15, the project will wrap up construction, which will also take place between 7 PM and 5 AM. The contractor may work outside of these times to complete minor or intermittent tasks.
Street parking is expected to be limited during this period, with more prevalent daytime impacts during the first week of construction and evening impacts in the following weeks.
