The City of Hartford announced it will be opening cooling centers for residents starting on Tuesday, July 15th at 12:00 PM, through Friday, July 18th at 8:00PM, in response to the forecasted heat wave. The Hartford Fire Department will also be distributing water to residents throughout the city.
The first semi-annual installment of taxes on the Grand List of October 1, 2024, are due and payable on July 1, 2025. Failure to pay any tax due July 1, 2025, on or before August 1, 2025, will cause the tax to become delinquent and subject to interest, from the due date of July 1, 2025, at the rate of 1.5% per full or partial month. HARTFORD, CONN (August 3, 2022) – Today, the City of Hartford announced it will be opening cooling centers for residents this week, beginning today and ending on Friday, August 5th, due to a forecasted heat wave. The Hartford Fire Department is also handing out water to residents throughout the city.
“With temperatures reaching the high-90s, we will once again be opening our cooling centers at library branches throughout the city to help our residents stay safe and cool,” said Mayor Luke Bronin. “We encourage all of our residents to drink plenty of water, stay out of the sun, and check in on loved ones and neighbors who may be affected by the heat.”
