Hartford Youth Violence Prevention and Intervention Work Group

Hartford Youth Violence Prevention and Intervention Work Group and Rapid Response Protocol is an immediate and coordinated response that addresses the multi-faceted needs that a young person may have when they are involved in an incident of violence, specifically that of a shooting or stabbing incident. The work group is comprised of community organizations, state and local agencies, and community partners. The Rapid Response Protocol is a tiered approach to responding the individualized needs of the youth, their family, and the effected community. The stages of involvement are as follows: incident, notification, coordination, follow-up and feedback, and continuous services and improvement
