Apply for Weights and Measures Permit

Step 1.Review Application Guidelines

• Application fees are non-refundable.
• Multiple locations need to file separate applications and payments for each location. 
• All registrations expire June 30th and must be renewed annually.

Step 2.Complete Online Application

Applications may be submitted online. Please be advised that you will have to create an account before proceeding. After logging on, you should be able to "Select a Record Type" for the applicable application. To view existing applications and check their status, please select "My Records".

Step 3.Pay Fee

The fee for each Weights and Measures Device are as follows:

• Scale 0 - 50 lbs. in capacity ($25 fee per unit)
• Scale 51 – 1,000 lbs. in capacity ($50 fee per unit)
• Scale 1,000 + lbs. in capacity ($100 fee per unit)
• Vehicle Tank Meters ($50 fee per unit)
• Retail Gas/Diesel, Per Nozzle ($25 fee per unit)
• Taxi Cab Meters ($15 fee per unit)
• Parking Garage Lot Timers, Per Entrance & Exit ($15 fee per unit)
• Car Wash Vacuum Timers, Per Vacuum ($10 fee per unit)
• Car Wash Timer, Per Stall ($15 fee per unit)
• Laundry Dryers, Per Dryer ($10 fee per unit)
