Maly D. Rosado was elected President of the Court of Common Council on January 6th, 2020. She is currently serving her second term after filling a vacancy left by State Representative Julio Concepcion in 2018. Maly grew up in Puerto Rico, but has been a resident of Hartford for the last thirty years. Though she considers Hartford her home, she maintains a strong commitment to the people of Puerto Rico filling the role of both ambassador and representative.

As an employee of the Housing Authority for the City of Hartford, Maly is a strong proponent of equitable housing. She consistently serves as a voice for the most disenfranchised members of our community by advocating for policies built upon the ideals of equality, inclusion, and respect. Her broad range of experience has allowed her to navigate the complex systems of City government laying the foundation to be a more effective and efficient leader. From her time as chair of the Civilian Police Review Board to her business analytics work with Travelers, Maly has proven that she has what it takes to get the job done. She is a proud daughter, sister, and mother and works tirelessly to move our city forward for the benefit of all. Juntos Venceremos por que somos MAS!
