Due to the forecasted winter storm, the City of Hartford offices are CLOSED on Monday, February 23rd, 2026. Essential staff will report for their regular shifts as scheduled. Trash and Recycling pick-up will proceed on a delayed schedule this week.
Due to inclement weather the following early learning centers and recreation centers will be closed Monday 2/23/26: Hyland Early Learning Center, Metzner Early Learning Center, Parker Memorial Community Center, Samuel V. Arroyo Recreation Center, Louis J. Metzner Community Center, Willie Ware Community Center.
Snow parking ban for the City of Hartford is in effect Monday February 23rd until Tuesday February 24th at 7am. All vehicles must be removed from City and Blue Light Lots by 10am tomorrow. Traffic along main corridors and downtown will be restricted to one-way in certain areas. Â Additionally, SEVERE COLD WEATHER ACTIVATION is in effect. Please read below for more information on warming centers.
This application for absentee ballot may be downloaded by an individual for: (1) the individual's own use; (2) the use of a member of the individual's immediate family; or (3) the use of a designee of the applicant. Any person who will distribute five (5) or more absentee ballot applications to persons other than the individual's immediate family must register with and obtain forms from the Town Clerk of the municipality where such forms will be distributed before distributing such forms.
The absentee ballot is an important way that registered voters may cast their vote if they are unable to appear at the polling place on the day of a primary, election or referendum due to one or more of the following reasons:

Before a ballot can be issued to the voter, an application must be completed and returned to this office. The application can be obtained in person, by mail or via the Secretary of the State website.
