HARTFORD, CONN (November 8, 2023) – Today, the City of Hartford announced details for the City's Fall Leaf Collection Program. The Fall Leaf Collection Program is designed to allow residents to dispose of fallen leaves prior to the first heavy snowfall. Residents have three options to dispose of leaves:
"It is so important to get rid of your fallen leaves the right way or they can cause problems when it rains or snows," said Janice Castle, Director of Community Engagement. "The City has three different ways to dispose of fallen leaves. Our Public Works team does an awesome job cleaning our streets, but they need your help so please rake your leaves curbside before a collection day, put your leaves in paper bags and leave them on the curb, or drop your leaf bags off at our Waste and Recycling Center at Liebert Rd."
Residents can visit www.hartfordct.gov/leafcollection to search for their street's assigned week for curbside collection. The City will also provide free leaf bags to Hartford residents, which can be found at the Hartford 311 Office at City Hall.
