HARTFORD, CONN (October 15, 2020) – This Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 11 AM, Mayor Luke Bronin, Hartford’s State’s Attorney Sharmese Walcott, City Council President Maly D. Rosado, members of the City Council, Police Chief Jason Thody, and community partners will hold a virtual town hall on public safety. The town hall will be held via Zoom, with log-in information available here as soon as it is finalized. Zoom has a maximum capacity, but the meeting will be live streamed on Facebook and it will be posted online afterwards.
“There are many complex causes for the deeply troubling increase gun violence we are seeing,” said Mayor Luke Bronin. “I’m inviting our community to this town hall on Saturday so that we can have an honest conversation about what we’re seeing and what we're doing – both as a city, and with community partners – and to hear directly from our residents.”
