Hartford to Open Emergency Overnight Warming Center Tues & Wed Nights

HARTFORD, CONN (November 23, 2021) – The City of Hartford will open an emergency overnight warming center for two nights, on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 and Wednesday, November 24, 2021.  The City will follow coronavirus guidelines, including mask wearing and social distancing inside the warming center, and it is coordinating with the Greater Hartford Coordinated Access Network.

“Tonight and tomorrow, as temperatures dip below freezing over the night, we are opening an emergency overnight warming center at the Arroyo Recreation Center,” said Mayor Luke Bronin.  “We want to make sure that everyone is protected against the elements, so if you need shelter, please stay warm by heading to Pope Park tonight.”

Location:   Arroyo Recreation Center at Pope Park, 30 Pope Park Drive, Hartford, Conn.

Dates:        Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 7pm to Wednesday, November 24 at 7am

                   Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 7pm to Thursday, November 25 at 7am
