Hartford Asks Residents: Sign Up A Senior For A Vaccine

Published on January 30, 2021

HARTFORD, CONN (January 30, 2021) – Today Mayor Luke Bronin held a virtual town hall on COVID-19 vaccine distribution, and residents can watch it here.  At the town hall, Mayor Bronin asked all Hartford residents to help sign up a senior for the vaccine through the City’s bilingual vaccine interest form, available here.  Currently, seniors 75+ are eligible for the vaccine, but seniors who are 65+ will likely become eligible in early February.  Hartford’s Health Department will call residents to schedule an appointment after they fill out the form, though it may take several weekdays and appointments are dependent on vaccine availability.

“We want to make it as easy as possible for our seniors to get the vaccine, and that includes bringing the vaccine to them as well as making it easy to make an appointment,” said Mayor Luke Bronin.  “If you’re a Hartford senior – or you have a family member or neighbor who is a Hartford senior – we’re asking you to fill out our vaccine interest form.  It’s quick and easy, and it’ll help us get you an appointment as soon as we can.  While we ask for everyone’s patience because vaccinating everybody is going to take time, this is a simple way to help us get to our seniors as quickly as possible.”
