6 PM TONIGHT: HARTFORD TO LIFT SNOW PARKING BAN AHEAD OF SCHEDULE

Published on January 07, 2022

HARTFORD, CONN. (January 7, 2022) – Today, Mayor Luke Bronin announced that Hartford will end its snow parking ban at 6 PM, ahead of schedule. The parking ban was initially set to expire at midnight tonight, but the Department of Public Works has made sufficient progress to end the parking ban early.

City and Blue Light Lots, as well as Hartford Public Schools lots, will remain open until 10:00 AM tomorrow, Saturday, January 8th, but residents are encouraged to remove their cars from Blue Light Lots as soon as they can.

"Our DPW team did a great job last night and today, and I'm grateful for their hard work," said Mayor Bronin.  "I know the parking ban can be an inconvenience, but it makes a big difference in allowing our DPW team to get the job done right. Residents should feel free to park their cars back on the street as of 6pm this evening."
