Commission on Cultural Affairs

The Commission on Cultural Affairs must:

  • Develop an arts policy every five years.
  • Assess the conditions and needs of the arts community. 
  • Analyze services provided to the arts community. •
  • Review and advise on funding proposals coordinated by the Development Services Department
  • Advise the City Council on design issues. 
  • Review the design of any art to be purchased by the City and give its opinion and recommendation

12 Hartford voters Of the 12, 2 students Up to 3 non-Hartford residents

In 2017, the Hartford Court of Common Council voted unanimously to utilize a free platform known as www.meetinginfo.org for Boards & Commissions to easily post their meeting agendas and meeting minutes online.
